Support Coordination relates specifically to the National Disability Insurance Scheme and It helps you make the best use of your support in your plan. Support coordination is a capacity-building support that allows you to:

  • Links you with NDIS providers, community, mainstream and other government services

The specialist support coordinator works with participants to provide constant support and help them manage their challenges. They work personally with participants to understand their needs and challenges in their support environment.

  • They help participants manage challenges and provide the necessary assistance and service.
  • They ensure that participants receive the best possible support and can reach their goals.
  • They also work with other service providers and to deliver the services according to the requirements of the participant.
  • They work closely with the participant, their family, and their caregivers to plan a service that suits the participant’s needs.
  • Even if there is any emergency, they can assist, plan and coordinate with different service providers to ensure consistent service delivery when needed.

The specialist support coordinators work with the participant and their families to implement the NDIS plan correctly according to the participant’s capacity. They coordinate and look after the service to meet the participant’s needs.
