Level 2 – If you are working/studying/participate in sports or other social activities   below 15 hours per week – the NDIS can provide you transport funding from $1,606 – $2,472 per year.

Level 3 – If you spend more than 15 hours a week working, studying, or looking for work, you can receive transport funding from $2,472 to $3,456 per year.

FAQs

In most circumstances, participants are able to access funding through the NDIS for transport assistance, particularly, if the participant cannot use public transport without substantial difficulty.
The NDIS will allow your funds to pay a support worker to drive you around or accompany you out into the community.
The NDIS will pay for all that is considered ‘reasonable and necessary’ supports as part of everyday living. The NDIS will not pay for flights to destinations; the cost of the flights is to be paid for separately.
Providers must charge travel time separately from the standard claim. They will need to identify the claim type as worker travel time. The amount must reflect the actual travel time.
